For Hanuman – 57

How Janaka’s daughter’s hopes to save,

No one advice to Hanuman gave.

Since in journey to Lanka alone,

For decisions to use instincts his own.

Devotee of Rama never intelligence without,

Thus for Hanuman’s success never a doubt.

Same intelligence not in me to use,

But in glorifying him still I choose.

For Hanuman – 56

For his presence to announce,

Sanskrit verses to pronounce.

Taking her husband’s name,

Shri Rama of Raghu’s fame.

His intentions thus easily to gauge,

As a friend her worries to assuage.

Rama’s messenger finally had come,

A force to stop him there was none.

For Hanuman – 55

As full knowledge in him resided,

To speak in Sanskrit he decided.

That he was educated would be known,

Unique presence to Sita to be shown.

Of course for God the language is meant,

Thus words of praise for Rama he sent.

Through invoking her beloved’s name,

Sita to know from where Hanuman came.

For Hanuman – 51

To Lanka with enthusiasm to go,

But how Rama’s wife was he to know.

No pictures there for him to align,

Could only use assumption and outward sign.

A distressed princess of body very lean,

In Ashoka grove by Hanuman was seen.

The pain from husband being apart,

That this was Sita idea to start.

For Hanuman – 50

Knowledge of creatures large and small,

Used in service when Rama did call.

In him full wisdom of Vedas three,

In movement with eyes of shastra to see.

Holder of every mystic perfection,

Called upon when in Lanka’s direction.

All such talents used when he searched,

Finally found Sita when on tree was perched.

Hanuman – 49

Shri Hanuman today known for strength,

And crossing ocean of amazing length.

That his journey was easy don’t think,

Length alone to cause despair’s sink.

Without success for a long time go,

And doubt surely anyone to know.

His resolve the trait most remarkable,

Desire to please Rama forever indestructible.
