How much of Rama really to know,

Expanding are His glories ever so.

Servant Hanuman in devotion set,

Proper understanding from him to get.

How in dark age no other way,

Except holy names always to say.

For all desires to be met and more,

Husband of Sita with your life adore.

Though His coronation they saw,

Residents not totally in awe.

Since love to feel in the heart,

From each day’s end to start.

For His welfare always praying,

Highest mood of worship displaying.

Rama as king, but for everyone there,

Reciprocating their love and care.

Already in bhakti’s bliss to live,

What more to me can He give?

The Ramayana there to read,

Daily hunger for happiness to feed.

From interactions a secret to see,

That pleased most by devotion is He.

Not order supplying or in competition’s heat,

In urgent service life’s progression complete.

Even in devotion trouble to see,

Rama too in difficulty was He.

Hanuman going to Lanka alone,

Searching for Sita in area unknown.

Despite odds in his favor not,

To promise land eventually got.

In bhakti only, not any other way,

Protected those who with Him stay.

Punishment from queen unforgiving,

For fourteen years in forest living.

Friends and family of kingdom forsaken,

Then by Ravana devoted wife from Him taken.

In trouble success difficult to see,

How to rise again Rama was He?

Diwali His amazing victory to mark,

Light again after many days dark.

Tulsidas giving idea the best,

Of reward defeating the rest.

From the Supreme anything can come,

But most worthy a benediction one.

That in devotion always to stay,

And never falling into maya’s way.

Even if Rama Himself request making,

Never any other as most beloved taking.

In Gitavali cleverly told,

Request of Tulsidas bold.

When Rama now as king to live,

One day promised anything to give.

One by one, each taking turn,

Different gift from Him to earn.

The poet also going with hands stretched out,

Received pure bhakti, deviation without.

Why so depressed are you,

And worried over future too?

Of people of Ayodhya think,

Before into despair to sink.

Rama for them finally coming,

At His sight ecstatic becoming.

Welcome also in home of your heart,

With every day this meditation start.

Soul, time to finally arise,

And ultimate purpose to realize.

That for Shri Rama is meant,

This life, to human birth sent.

Like people in Ayodhya celebrated,

With lighted diyas commemorated.

Pure bhakti, not complicated at all,

With love and affection His name call.

As Supreme Lord Rama is known,

Someone by His side, never alone.

Shri, Lakshmi, and many a name,

All to fortune’s goddess the same.

Though benedictions coming from her way,

Always by husband’s lotus feet to stay.

Worship together properly done,

Sita and Rama, separate but one.
