For Sita – 48

Eldest prince of Raghu’s fame,

For Sita’s svayamvara came.

With eyes of world pressure intense,

Mounting with each moment in suspense.

Then with break like thunder loud,

Victory making joyous the crowd.

Such is the way her wedding went,

Only best prince for Sita is meant.

For Sita – 47

So many worthy of honor to give,

How disrespecting without to live?

Know by honor of Sita never forgotten,

Like with plan for her marriage gotten.

First to mother Parvati prayed,

Then in bow honor to Shiva paid.

In mighty arm of Rama twas raised,

Janaka’s fame all assembled praised.

For Sita – 46

When honor to Sita shown,

Benefits not to her alone.

When contest of the bow was made,

Honor to Shiva and Parvati was paid.

Rama too in fame and stature gained,

As lifter of Shiva’s bow then named.

The arrangement of her marriage this was from,

Through single act so much auspiciousness done.

For Sita – 45

With my limited intelligence to use,

To glorify marriage of Sita I choose.

More ability in others I see,

To write as desired they’re free.

Acts of mundane world to review,

To me to such words no value.

That my time a waste you may say,

But always with Sita and Rama I’ll stay.

For Sita – 44

In morning Janaki to temple for Durga to see,

By her supplication alarmed should not be.

That highest respect in Janaka was clear,

So trait also in daughter so dear.

Ready for fortune with others to share,

For her own honor never a care.

That marriage Gauri’s fame to enhance,

To shower blessings by Sita given the chance.

For Sita – 43

Though to others making kind request,

In fact through Sita they were blessed.

Done so to show highest respect,

What more from Janaka’s daughter to expect?

To Durga Devi humbly to pray,

For rightful husband to come her way.

To Sita’s requests devas always to accede,

To Janakpur land Hari fast to proceed.

For Sita – 42

In Janaka worry was there too,

Of uncertain future, what to come who knew?

On virtues of daughter and dharma taking,

Oath with blessed contest then making.

Since vision of victorious Rama to taste,

Efforts of all fruitful, in none a waste.

In strength of Rama’s dearest invest,

Say her name and put your worries to rest.

For Sita – 41

What if what I’ve heard is wrong,

Of this path which been on so long?

What if at death, life’s end,

Into sea of nothingness soul to send?

Though worry you may, doubtful to be,

Never such a concern to enter me.

For the glories of Janaka’s daughter I know,

Sita and Rama with me, never to let me go.

For Sita – 40

Why should to look with fear,

Upon Janaka’s daughter so dear?

In loving attitude keep her near,

Your daily worries easily to clear.

All good qualities to her belong,

Though of mild nature, of devotion strong.

Rightfully matched, husband bow can break,

Loving devotion to her never a mistake.

For Sita – 39

To task of contemplating this mind to send,

Not difficult since in her glories no end.

If to write this day, tomorrow and another,

Still never to properly describe the divine mother.

When from doubt and defeat hopes start to fade,

Her name and character to give protecting shade.

Her marriage story this broken heart to please,

Rightfully matched with Rama lifting bow with ease.
