With this gifted intelligence of mine,
Where in most worthwhile use of time?
When of Him just a little to know,
To proceed towards highest realm so.
Of Shri Krishna, Supreme Lord we speak,
Despite limitations, His mercy just seek.
Help to you directly giving,
Your shortcomings quickly forgiving.
Yajna for Vishnu another name,
Sacrifice in His honor thus to Him the same.
For proper yajna to see,
Distribution of food should be.
Prasadam, the Lord’s mercy bestowing,
Benefit to all who partake going.
In ignorance otherwise effort is known,
Since no respect for Lord is shown.
Task of biography writing to take,
In literary world critical analysis to make.
Not like sycophant praise only giving,
Judging objectively how person living.
For Bhagavad-gita on Arjuna’s authority rely,
He having most critical and objective eye.
Authorities of Narada and Vyasa with opinion concur,
For proper understanding to parampara defer.
In dark room about walls talking,
On speculation’s road walking.
Since not certain, not always right,
Only when darkness removed by light.
Speculation sinful since away to go,
Parampara right way for Krishna to know.
Hear from someone already in the light,
Then contemplate with understanding right.
With less intelligence to go,
Shiva’s true character not to know.
After simple prayers to him making,
Gifts from Mahadeva happily taking.
With devotees of Vishnu to argue,
Why to Him to go, silly are you?
For rivalry between the two no need,
Since Mahadeva greatest Vaishnava indeed.
Wishing for departed soul the best,
That in peace forever to rest.
The wise something different knowing,
That living spirit to somewhere else going.
Better if wherever to reach,
To always be living in peace.
That benefit even now can feel,
With understanding of Krishna real.
With religions existing more than one,
How to tell which the superior one?
Like different dictionaries to explain,
From deluxe edition most knowledge to gain.
Bhagavad-gita covering topics five,
From it to right conclusion arrive.
When boundless love for God to feel,
Then known that religion followed is real.
Previously as maidservant’s son Narada came,
Through prasadam from sages liberated became.
Doesn’t mean that conditioned was he,
Since from obstruction was free.
For nitya-baddha nowhere to find,
A point of devotion in time’s long line.
For nitya-siddha liberation is there,
Life of devotion residence is where.
One person sick patients to heal,
Another towards deity to kneel.
Which doing welfare work more,
What benefit to others when God to adore?
Actually, possibility of feeding a snake,
Rejuvenated then havoc on others to make.
Source of all misery from God forgetting,
Path to bliss only from devotees getting.
Infinite are space and time,
Impossible conception for flawed mind.
Still Krishna sometimes “never” word saying,
Like those reaching His realm forever staying.
Reference to the laws of the land made,
In material world no one forever has stayed.
Rebirth upon them is forced,
For bhaktas chartered a different course.
